Kmax Helicopter filling still wells on Mt. Hood on the Dollar Fire in 2011
[Not a pilot] Is there always that much feedback in the cyclic on a K-max?
Dude, why the stupid gay ass music? If you're going to play it put it way down low in the volume level. Quit watching this crap immediately just because this crap ass music. Tired of that shit
8 + millions dollar for a helicopter to only lift 1 max 6000lb. log at a time ! How much lift weights if I spend 12 + millions ? 😂😂😂
che invidia, fare un lavoro così!!!!!!
Someone stole a ton of your footage for a video ABOUT the k max…thought you should know as it has you getting into it and using it..that’s how I found this video anyways… looking into getting into this kind of flying before it’s too late and I’m too old
Where are the vibrations in the cyclic coming from? Is it standard? Btw, thanks for the great vid!
Charlie Kaman was a genius and and such an innovator!
How can it be enjoyed with that ghastly musak soundtrack...
Lot of bounce in that cyclic, what’s that like?
Shakes all day. Very Armstrong to fly.
Looks fun Jay.
Good video, but I don'tlike the idea to use dino juice for logging.
The background music was unnecessary and stupid.
Serious Air Muscle
Hard to imagine... the same guy Frank Kavan.. invented the Ovation (fibreglass) guitar.. !!
Needs better music and tighter pants.
Пипец у него вибрации!
Best helicopter on the market today. That T53 sounds GREAT ! who can beat the smell of avaition fuel in the morning !!
Having the pleasure of working with Mike up here in Pt McNeill. Great video, well done. It's a joy to work with pros, keep up the good work, cheers.
Where’s the Blackhawk?!
Going by a max lift of 6k lbs, I guess this apparatus leaves about 4.5k- 5k lbs for a log. Pretty slick. 👍
I see why a 2x4 costs $8.00 now 🤔... and a wood blade for this aircraft is about a MILLION Bucks ! WOW ... but what a fantastic flying machine it is !😁
Anton Flettner was a genius!
👍👍👍👌
the operators must have no fear of that aluminium ladder being blown around by the rotor wash.
Prob a stupid question but why in the water?
Art of flight vibe
The music really spoils this otherwise great video
WHY the stupid music WHY ? channel changed
My Dad built the transmissions for kaman for almost 40 years before retirement. Awesome piece of equipment that’s for sure!
Hats off to your Dad and the great work he did.
Looks like prince of Wales island Alaska
I bothered by the off center strobe on the bracket in between the rotors
ชอบมากๆเสียงดนตรี นี้ เดี๊ยวไม่ค่อยได้ยินแล้วเสียดายนะ
The "MUSIC"... *SUCKS!!* (bigly)
these kmax machines vibrate and shake a lot. Blades unbalanced or something?
It is difficult to really balance them when they are alternating positions. the wheight shifts back and forth as the blades turn. one side gets heavier as the blades go out while the other side gets lighter. Then when in the air. the lift changes as the blades rotate.
No music needed. why stick it on a helicopter video ?
Well, if even skyline logging is not an option, this is the only chance.
Jesus that cyclic shakes in the eggbeater
Such a cool helicopter. What's the long line payload capacity?
6000LBS
Great video ty
Glad you enjoyed it
So do you get twice the lifting power over a single blade, half more then a 4 bladed rotor? You would think the blades that cross over each other wouldn't get much stable air and wash each other out.. if that makes sense.
I think because of the direction of blade movement on a single rotor, half of the blade has increased lift going forward, then decreased lift going backward. With the dual rotors design, and the tilt, it makes it to where there is a high lift arc on both sides of the aircraft, and the low lift arcs don’t interfere so much. Plus, now you don’t need a tail rotor.
If i remember correctly, the lift is not quite twice as much, but it is more than a single rotor design.
Super cool
Y'all hiring?
I'm watching one less then 3/4 mile from my house.uniqye sound.sounds like it's ideling
Why are the logs dropped into the water
On the North Coast there is no road access to a lot of places where we log so timber is dropped into what is called a pocket then once full, they are towed to the mill from there by a big tug.
@@BlythmanInc makes sense. Thank you for sharing
nice
Impressive
Interesting, apart from the annoying music.
Love seeing you guys coming back to BJC.
cool. saw this machine parked outside of alpine today
I used to rig under this pilot in nelson bc
